Co-op at Union Design LLC
[now called UDXD]

Brand identity materials for Union Design — an NYC-based design agency. The scope included business cards, envelopes, and letterheads for letters, invoices, and proposals. After Union’s website redesign, it was time to integrate its new vibrant, motion-filled brand into the print space.

I was the primary designer with oversight from Union’s design directors.

Where did the Brand Start?

Objects from Union’s website to inform the design direction.

Sketch Iterations

For the front, information-heavy side of the business cards.

Gradient Experimentation

Playing with color variations to make the most vibrant gradients for the back of the business cards.

Refinement + Cohesion

Focusing on the relationship between color and logo placement, we compared the placement of the logo on the back to the information on the front of each card.

Final Layout + Choices

Note the gradient “bleeding through” from the back of the card to the colored name and website URL text on the front. Plus, the final cards consist of five gradient color options.

Brand Integration

For envelopes and letterheads used for invoices, proposals, and traditional letters.
